Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. The current president is as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native, grew up with an extremely wealthy background. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who went on to own the Lakers along with other sports companies. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 and she started to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. As she turned 19 old she joined the family's business as general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. She later set up the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She held the position of the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and the ownership of the Lakers was passed on to Buss and her five siblings via a trust for the family with each sibling having the same vote. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based within Los Angeles.
